Baby Boy Jonesy’s Black & White Nursery

This is week 38! We’re ready when you are baby boy. 🖤

When I started thinking about the nursery design I already knew I wanted to go the black and white route. Traditional blues for a baby boy is not our style. Let the the pinning and insta searching for different ideas commence! I knew I wanted a modern look but also tie in some fun wall art, with some urban touches.

I said good-bye for now to what was the Styled by M.Jonesy office and OOTD studio. We packed everything up and put it into storage for the time being.

Once the room was cleared out we hit the walls with some Sherwin Williams – Pure White 7005 . Next stop Pottery Barn Kids to order our furniture.

Ok, a minute of real talk right now. My experience with PBK was not ideal. I ordered my furniture the 1st weekend of August and there was a mix up in the delivery times. Everything was going to be delivered after bubba arrived. Nightmare! I spent too much time on the phone trying to get it sorted out. It didn’t help that I was an anxious 8 months pregnant lady who was overly emotional with a house full of baby things waiting to be put away. Thankfully the kind people at Rider Mile delivery company (PBK’s contracted delivery company) helped me get everything moving for a delivery in mid-September (with the exception of my glider which I am still waiting for). If you are considering purchasing your furniture from PBK and want details on my fiasco contact me for some helpful tips.

With that being said, we went with West Elm x PBK Mid-Century Modern nursery set, which I absolutely love. It’s sleek and the accent details and hardware are beautifully crafted. When all was delivered, it came together perfectly with all the accent pieces we had picked out.

I have to give a giant shoutout to Auntie Sandy who helped me for 3 full days to get the nursery set up. She did a lot of the heavy lifting and helped me get all my shower gifts out of their packages and in baby’s room to be organized. I couldn’t have done it without her! I love how my vision came together. Now we just wait for baby boy to arrive and he’ll be the last piece of the puzzle.

Um can we talk about that Benny portrait??? It was gifted to us from Tita Monica in Louisiana. Our glider will go in that corner once it arrives so when I am rocking baby boy he will be able to look up at his fur brother.
