Check Out My Great Find From A Local Pop-Up Shop!

A few weeks ago when I was visiting Jbird at work, I walked down the block to a little pop-up shop that opened up. Shockingly, Bird was the one who alerted me of this cute little boutique. Typically he doesn’t encourage my shopping habits, but since he did, I took full advantage and picked up a few fun pieces.

My outfit of the week is brought to you by Yenni.com. I spotted this fun, furry jacket from the store front window and knew it was going to be the next addition to the SBMJ closet. It’s super soft. I wore it below with my favorite Spanx leggins but would also pair it with jeans or a basic shift or bodycon dress. Oh also, it was only $52!

Also exciting — I finally got to playing around with my Amazon Echo Look that my resident tech expert Adam B, sourced out for me. Our new renovated closet was a great backdrop to test it out and also get some pictures of my new jacket. I’m obsessed. Alexa is my new bestie 👱🏾‍♀️❤️🖲 She plays bomb music and doesn’t roll her eyes at me when I ask her to take photos! Hahahaha! Oh also there is a feature that gives you outfit comparisons. I thought that was pretty cool.

I was all dressed up and actually had somewhere to go! My good friend Samar, the GM at Ashyana Banquets, invited me to the Chicago Style Wedding Magazine Launch party at Hotel Allegro. I had a great time catching up with him, brainstorming ideas for Styled by, and networking with other industry professionals. Thank you Samar for the invite!
